Addison Lee’s Winter Appeal for Centrepoint
2020 has been tough for many of us, with much of the impact still yet to be felt. The social and economic impacts of the pandemic are likely to fall on young people in particular. It’s why Addison Lee is proud to launch our Winter Appeal in support of Centrepoint.
This Christmas, over 4,000 young people are likely to be facing homelessness in London. This number is due to increase with lockdown leaving more and more young people with nowhere safe to stay. Centrepoint have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic to ensure homeless young people get the help they need, and to give them a route out of homelessness through education, health support and accommodation. With Christmas approaching, they expect to be busier than ever – at Addison Lee we are doing what we can to support them.
As a company with 45 years of heritage in London, we are proud to partner with a charity so devoted to helping London’s young people. We’ll be working with Centrepoint over the coming months to help the team there give homeless young people the best possible Christmas and hopefully a fresh start.
It costs 40p a night to sponsor a room at Centrepoint. This helps to provide a warm, safe and stable environment for a young person and the platform they need to start rebuilding their lives and moving on independently. For every person that books a journey with Addison Lee using the app throughout November and December, we’ll make a donation of 40p*.
Throughout November and December we’ll be sharing more information about Centrepoint’s work and the difference they are making to London’s young people every day. If you would like to make a difference to a young person’s life, visit https://centrepoint.org.uk/addisonlee and make a donation.
*up to a total value of £20,000
